[Job Opening] Join LEDGE as a PR & Campaign Intern

#Recruitment
Frame 44a.png

LEDGE, Japan's first team of public interest litigation specialists, is looking for student and working-professional interns to join our PR and campaign work.

LEDGE is a project that brings together Law Office LEDGE — the first law office in Japan where lawyers work full-time on public interest litigation — and LEDGE, a general incorporated association of researchers and campaigners dedicated to public interest litigation. Together we aim to change society's systems and norms through legal action.

Since our founding in 2023, we have taken on ten public interest lawsuits, including the Lawsuit for Lowering the Age of Candidacy, the Lawsuit to End Racially Discriminatory Police Questioning, and the "Maternity Is Not My Body's Purpose" lawsuit. Each began with the voice of a single individual and grew into a challenge that questions society's very rules.

PR & Campaign interns will help support LEDGE's communications as members of our PR and campaign team: posting on social media to encourage people to attend court hearings, assisting with the running of post-hearing report sessions, and helping produce web articles and press releases.

The front line of public interest litigation is not only the courtroom. Communicating widely what is at stake in a case, standing in solidarity with those who raise their voices alongside us, and bringing about real change — this work is every bit as important as the litigation itself.

We welcome applications from people who share LEDGE's mission, "Changing the Law Forward," and who are interested in moving society through the power of communication.
